Central Library

In line with the rapid development of universities, libraries need to adjust, especially in terms of providing reading room facilities. For this reason, since its establishment until now the library has undergone three building moves. The building occupied today is the third building that was originally designed and specifically intended for the library. This building consists of three floors whose area ± 4,212 m2all floors in this building have been provided WIFI for visitors. The situation of the room in detail is as follows:

1st Floor

From north to south, the room consists of:

  • Borrowing/Circulation Services (R. 1.14).
  • Lobby to rest and read the collection.
  • Visitor attendance is provided in front of the entrance.
  • Bag Storage Room.
  • Collection Room, consisting of a collection of books about theses, theses, dissertations, and research reports of UNY lecturers.
  • Photocopy Room for visitor purposes.
  • Toilets for visitors and employees.
  • Warehouse

2nd Floor

From north to south, the room consists of:

  • Reading Room and Collection (R. 2.10), consisting of collections of books on Language, Science and Technology, Art, Sports, Geography, Literature and History (as a reserve collection marked R).
  • Lobby for rest and reading newspaper.
  • Visitor attendance is provided in front of the entrance.
  • Office of the Head of Library and Administration (R. 2.09).
  • Lobby to rest and read the collection.
  • Meeting Room (R. 2.06), used for staff meetings and to receive library guests.
  • Reference/Information Collection Room (R. 2.08).
  • Kitchen/Pantry (R. 2.05)
  • Periodical Collection Room (R. 2.03), consisting of collections of magazines, printed journals, SKH, etc.
  • Toilets for visitors and employees
  • Warehouse

3rd Floor

From north to south, the room consists of:

  • Collection Room (R. 3.12), consists of a collection of books on Public Works, Philosophy & Psychology, Religion, and Social Sciences including Education (as a reserve collection marked R).
